The Black Bull offers great food and a warm welcome seven days a week, all year round. We use only the best quality local beef, lamb, fish and seasonal game, all prepared to order by our head chef.

Relax in the informal surroundings of the Bar for a pre meal refreshment, whatever your tipple. Whether it’s cask ales, a glass of wine or cocktail to start (or finish) your dining experience. The bar area is also dog friendly.

Once refreshed, move through to your table in the cosy Bistro or our elegant Georgian dining room, which seats up to forty five. Whether it is an intimate table for two, or a large gathering, we have the perfect table for you.

The same seasonal menu is served throughout with a selection of specials and a separate lunch menu. Take a look at a sample menu to whet your appetite.

Traditional Sunday Lunch
Of course, served from 12pm – 8pm, and always includes a succulent roast. Whether it is a tender sirloin of beef, sweet leg of lamb or perfectly cooked loin of pork there isn’t a better way to spend a Sunday.
